(Updated November 2006)

SLASH has been a great guest on many TV shows. He's done comedy shows, variety shows, and even a cartoon show. Mostly he appears as himself and plays guitar or is interviewed. If you know of some shows that are missing, send the information (TV show name, date of appearance (just year if you don't have the complete date), and what he did. Send to SLASH Page. Thanks!

Aired on TV in October 2006

Volkswagen did some commercials of guitar players using special guitars plugged into speakers made out of Volkswagen. One of the guitar players was the Spinal Tap guy. The best one was SLASH in his all black and silver outfit with the black and silver VWs and a black and silver guitar. You can see the commercial on-line at the Volkswagen web site. PENN & TELLER'S
SIN CITY SPECTACULAR
Episode #104 - August 10, 1998

Together since 1975, Penn and Teller's award-winning theater and magic show has been a long running hit on and off-Broadway. The duo keeps a busy touring schedule, performing live more than 100 times this year alone. The pair’s most recent and most ambitious project is their weekly, Emmy nominated variety series, Penn & Teller’s Sin City Spectacular, is on the Fx Network. Taped on location in Las Vegas, the show features appearances by top movie, television and music stars, eclectic variety performers and new, never before seen Penn & Teller magic tricks. SLASH has been on the show twice. In his second appearance, SLASH had his own segment of the show and performed his famous "rat in the hat" trick for Penn & Teller. Before and after the trick, SLASH did some of the best guitar soloing we've heard! He seemed very relaxed doing his trick, and of course during his solo. It was a thrill to see SLASH onstage alone, facing that sophisticated Vegas audience, and seeing them all cheer when he finished. The show's guest list was: Snake (with Alice Cooper), Long Twins (contortionists), Balloon of Blood, Andy Dick's Salute to Tap Dancing, Slash (with a magic trick), Jimmy Pardo, Table Top Theater, Space Hog, Forever Tango, Who's On First with Penn & Gilbert Gottfried.

On this show, he appeared with an athlete, the man who writes the best dressed list, and a woman. SLASH was funny and made some interesting comments.

He said he once had to be restrained on a flight from Australia because it was so long and boring. Give him his guitar!!
